Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said he thought House managers made a "compelling case" against the actions of President Donald Trump, but "even if you didn't, the idea that, that means you shouldn't have witnesses and documents ... fails the laugh test." Schumer was focused on last week's vote by the Senate to not call on witnesses or documents in the Senate impeachment trial.

On Feb. 4, Senators weighed in for the second day on how they will vote on whether to remove President Donald Trump from office. The speeches come one day before the Senate will decide whether to convict or acquit Trump on two articles of impeachment — abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
