Justice served! If anyone breaks in your home/apartment shoot them. Don't hesitate your life depends on it and don't keep firing after that one is eliminated, there may be an accomplice with him.

Nationally the common law in every state is known as the "man's home is his castle doctrine" which over simplified is if a burglar, rapist, or any type of criminal breaks in an occupied home (especially at night) you may use deadly force to protect yourself and your family. The only caviate is they must be inside the door or window in most cases. Check your state laws to ensure it applies in your state.

We had 15 burglaries in my nearby city about 25-30 years back and the home owners and apartment renters shoot all of those burglars and we're fully justified. This is in Rochester, NY 600 miles from NYC and their burglaries plummeted over the next 20 years. No victims were arrested!

magine being on the phone with 911 while simultaneously talking a loved one through defending themselves during a home invasion.

"Melinda – if he opens up the door, you shoot him! You understand?" … "Remember everything I showed you. Everything I taught you."

The intruder broke into the family's home and chased his wife and two young children into the attic. She shot the intruder five times, and he still made it out of the house.

There are at least two lessons:

1) Get training: She fired six rounds and hit the intruder five times, which is pretty good.

2) A gun with only six to ten rounds might not save your life. (unless your spouse trains you how to shoot.)

She had a revolver with only six rounds, and many people think there should be a 10-round limit on magazines. Imagine if there were multiple attackers.
