F1 blown diffuser vs without diffuser sound

A blown diffuser is a device used in Formula 1 racing to increase a car's aerodynamic downforce. It works by directing hot exhaust gases from the engine onto the diffuser roof. The placement of the exhaust fumes is crucial to achieving maximum downforce as the hot air moves over the rear diffuser.

Red Bull Racing invented the blown diffuser for the 2010 Formula 1 World Championship, using it in their RB6 racing car. Adrian Newey, a highly regarded figure in motorsport, worked on the car, which also featured an interestingly positioned exhaust.

The blown diffuser was eventually banned because it was not viable over a long period of time. This was due to the fact that it increased fuel consumption and affected the engine's lifespan.
