Quarterback Upgrades
Derek Carr NO
Carr's emergence in Klint Kubiak's offense is one of the biggest stories of the first two weeks of the season.
Sam Darnold MIN
Darnold was very good for the second straight week, and this time against one of the NFL's better defenses
Geno Smith SEA
The matchup against Miami is good enough for Smith to be worth a spot start in 1QB leagues.
Daniel Jones NYG
Jones was much better in Week 2.
Gardner Minshew II
Minshew has an excellent set of targets, and he's gaining confidence after a so-so summer.
Justin Fields PIT
Fields has probably secured the Steelers starting quarterback job until further notice.

Running Back Upgrades
Braelon Allen NYJ
Allen looks good enough to start but will have to toil behind Breece Hall for now.
Ty Chandler MIN
The Vikings offense also looks very strong and resilient, which makes Chandler an essential bench stash with Jones injury upside.
Samaje Perine KC
Perine should get passing-down work and could be startable as an RB2/Flex if he gets goal-line work over Carson Steele
Carson Steele KC
Steele should get a good share of the backfield with Isiah Pacheco out, but he'll share with Samaje Perine.
Bucky Irving TB
Irving's share of the backfield should continue to go up, although it will require a White injury or a great matchup for him to be startable.
Cam Akers HOU
If Mixon and Pierce are out this week, Akers will be a flex play against the Texans.
Antonio Gibson NE
Gibson looked explosive vs. the Seahawks and he's at least worth stashing for his Rhamondre Stevenson injury upside with the Patriots more competitive than expected
Khalil Herbert CHI
D'Andre Swift is also struggling to get going, so Herbert could get a longer look against a very vulnerable Colts run defense

Wide Receiver Upgrades
Jalen Tolbert DAL
Someone has to step up to help Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, and this offense will be pass-heavy all year, so Tolbert is a priority pickup this week.
Quentin Johnston LAC
The Chargers are a low passing volume team, but Johnston showed confidence and his role is growing.
Jalen Nailor MIN
Nailor scored again, and now the two receivers ahead of him are injured. Both Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison could play in Week 3, but Nailor also has speculative bench value because of the increasing quality of his offense.

Tight End Upgrades
Hunter Henry NE
Henry was most of the pass offense for the Patriots in Week 2, and he clearly has the best chemistry with Jacoby Brissett.
Zach Ertz WAS
Ertz is going to stay a big part of the pass offense as long as the Commanders employ their horizontal passing attack
Mike Gesicki CIN
Gesicki's top-end athleticism is showing in the Bengals offense
Jonnu Smith MIA
Smith was used a lot more as the Dolphins pass offense was relegated to short passing in Week 2.
