SCATTERED FRIENDS? BUT NEVER SEPARATED

When we are lonely and blue or perhaps in a tough time of life and need to have happy thoughts, we think of friends. And often, it's not the friends or acquaintances we see daily. We usually return to a happy memory, perhaps even our childhood, and step back into that day and those friends.
Something magical happens, or something spiritual takes place when we remember those days of friendship.
Why is that?
I know that on the spiritual side, we have a connection, but I suspect that there's something in the nature of love and friendship that has a bond to it that is unbreakable.
When you haven't seen a friend for years, it's amazing how you can step right back into conversation, laughter, and memories because they were always there waiting to be awakened.
This phenomenon has everything to do with how God put us together as his children. We are bonded because we come from the same father as the human race created by the breath of God.
The apostle Paul repeatedly tells us that we are one body because we are one in Jesus Christ. I often experience that incredible oneness traveling the world and ministering to various church families to which I always know I belong.
Because we are one in Christ, we have the same spirit; therefore, we are connected together, whether near or far. We are never alone because the body of Christ, those who are one with Christ, are with us on the same journey.
