You forgot an entire aspect to UBI: CBDCs. Governments will dole out UBI, but program it to expire if not used for whatever they deem best (some taxable activity, no doubt), or expire any funds not used in a specific time period.

I’ve been witness to the Governments compassion when handing out money. The amount they’ll give you will be barely enough to pay your basic needs and they will require you to do much much more for nothing. Their goal is full control over everything and everybody disguised as compassion and safety.
