(1979) Only 6 days after Saddam Hussein is named the NEW LEADER he PURGES 68 Ba'ath party members at this meeting.

July 22nd 1979- Recently tortured senior Ba'ath party leader Muhyi Abdul-Hussein Mashhadi is brought out to the center stage of this meeting to "confess" to CONSPIRING & forced to call out the names (Given to him by then 42-year old Saddam Hussein & to spare his life) of the other 68 Ba'ath members involved while Saddam Hussein calmly puffs away on his Cuban Cigar on center stage with the video camera rolling while the potential threats to his planned Iraq dictatorship are lead away with complete FEAR & TERROR on their faces knowing that their FATE was sealed as everyone else prays their names are NOT called out. Saddam congratulated those still seated in the room for their past and future loyalty. This video was TELEVISED for the Iraqi people only a week later!

Only 2 weeks later those 68 arrested at the meeting were subsequently tried together and found guilty of treason. 22 men, including 5 members of the Revolutionary Command Council, were sentenced to EXECUTION. Those SPARED were given weapons (Guns) and directed to EXECUTE their 22 comrades (including senior Ba'ath party leader Muhyi Abdul-Hussein Mashhadi. Can't keep him alive just in case he recants and tells the truth that it was all a lie just to spare his life).

This one event put complete FEAR & TERROR into the Iraqi people & Ba'ath party members for his new dictatorship over Iraq to where they never went against Saddam Hussein afterwards.
