John Leguizamo Says He’s PROUD to be a DEI Hire

Actor John Leguizamo made a speech at the Emmy Awards where he proclaimed himself to be a DEI hire and praised the notion of people being hired based on their ethnicity as opposed to merit.

This comes at a time when many Hollywood studios are trying to abandon the label of DEI after learning it is box office poison. This has resulted in studios firing heads of these departments or rebrand them. Either way most leadership within the industry is aware to avoid drawing attention to diversity quotas, it just seems like John Leguizamo was not present for the meeting.
