Storm Boris has caused devastating floods in central Europe, resulting in at least 10 fatalities, marking some of the worst flooding in decades.

Countries including Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary have experienced extreme rainfall, with Poland set to declare a “state of disaster” as southwestern regions suffer significantly.

In the Czech Republic, thousands are without hot water and electricity after heating plants were shut down due to flooding.

Casualties include eight victims over the weekend and two elderly men found in their homes in Austria. Evacuations are ongoing in flood-stricken areas, with the Polish army assisting over 2,600 people.

Dramatic damage has been reported, with towns like Klodzko nearly submerged and emergency services responding to critical situations, CNN has reported.
