06:00 Accident 4
This reminds me of a car accident I had many years ago in great Boston area, at around 1 a.m. It had been snowing all day, and there was still light snowfall as I was driving home. Feeling confident, I thought I’d easily make it through a downhill turn, stop at the sign, make a left at the intersection, then a right. So easy, right? Suddenly, the steering wheel stopped responding. I felt the car sliding towards the rocks and trees on the right. I slammed on the brakes, but they didn’t work. I jerked the steering wheel, and finally, the car crashed into something across the road and came to a stop.
It was pitch black outside. Just as I was about to open the door to check out the situation, the car lost balance, rolled one and a half times, and tumbled down the slope. It finally stopped, upside down. By the time two police cars, an ambulance, and a tow truck arrived, the car was totaled, but luckily, I was fine. The police told me that, based on the tire marks, I had been going 25 MPH, which was too fast for that weather. Another officer told me that I had damaged a utility pole and would be responsible for paying for public property damage. ⚡‼️ I stood there in the dark, motionless and speechless, with snowflakes falling around me. How am I supposed to afford a utility pole?!
Maybe I looked too miserable, so the officer ended up telling me I wouldn’t have to pay this time. I breathed a huge sigh of relief. Boston really isn’t for me.

15:31 I've been dreaming about clam chowder for over a decade. There's a bowl of clam chowder in my heart that's a perfect 10.
I've tried many clam chowders, from supermarket to restaurant versions, and they usually score about 4 - 6 out of 10. But this one? I give it an 8.5. You can taste the freshness and sweetness of the clam meat and the broth. Yet, it’s a bit too salty, which knocks off 0.5 points, and it could be thicker, which takes away another 0.5 points. It could use a bit more seasoning, which deducts another 0.5 points. So, it ends up at 8.5. Now that I’ve learned to make clam chowder myself and customize it to my taste, I’d give my own recipe a perfect 10.
15:55 Oyster Po' Boy
What I really wanted was clam chowder and a scallop roll. Unfortunately, the scallop roll was sold out, so I tried the oyster po' boy based on the staff’s recommendation. I wouldn’t recommend it, though. Oysters are best enjoyed raw on their own, and I prefer the sweeter varieties.
16:29 Local Yocal John Jerome
18:29 Gentle on My Mind (Glen Campbell cover)
23:33 Don't Rock the Jukebox (Alan Jackson cover)
26:31 The Sun Don’t Shine Anymore In Acapulco (William Michael Morgan)

35:25 Chris Young
I like the visual arts
41:44 Bye Bye (Jo Dee Messina)
41:50 I Like It, I Love It (Tim McGraw)
Oh wow, I’d totally forgotten about these two songs. As soon as the music started, I was transported right back to the mid to late '90s. It was such a great feeling.

49:20 Heading to NJ to visit a friend's family
When I boasted to my friend's family about the clam chowder at Red's Best, her husband, a true Jersey guy, jumped in with, “Oh, the Boston clam chowder is cream-based, but here in NJ, we do it tomato-based.” I felt like a deflated balloon because it seemed like he was sneering at the Boston version. Lesson learned: don’t flaunt Boston clam chowder around Jersey guys or New Yorkers. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. It reminds me of a classic scenario:
Someone asks, “1+1=?”
Most people would say, “1+1=2”
Some might say, “1+1=11”
And others might respond, “1+1=王 (King)”
I’d be the one asking, “Why are you even asking this? Are you trying to insult my intelligence?”
