Michael Heiser's Neo-Gnostic Heresies (Part 5)

In this episode we focus on one of the most disturbing doctrines of Dr. Michael Heiser - Deification! Yes, he taught that men become gods. Furthermore, the ramification of his heresy within his entire theological system produces extensive problems. Examples which are discussed are his redefining the Hebrew word elohim (God/gods) as "disembodied." So by teaching that men become gods, he is claiming men become disembodied, which is a denial of the Biblical doctrine of a physical bodily resurrection. It also portrays his confused heretical view of Christology. Christ took on a flesh body at the incarnation. Either Heiser has to deny Christ was God while walking on the earth (i.e. the heretical kenotic theory) or he has to deny that Christ took on a physical form (a Gnostic doctrine called docetism). It becomes abundantly clear that Heiser is a Neo-Gnostic.
