Chromatic Scale!
Level: Beginner/Intermediate

Technique: This exercise will teach you two different finger forms to play the Chromatic Scale. It gets all 4 fingers warmed up and you are ready to rock! It also covers a lot of real estate on the guitar neck. The last guitar lick in the video, I am descending with minor thirds, every half step(Chromatic). Take chromatic and run with it, apply it your favorite guitar licks. Ascend and descend chromatic throughout the neck, it's so much fun! The options are endless.

Theory: The chromatic scale or twelve-tone scale is a musical scale with twelve pitches, each a semitone(1 fret) above or below its adjacent pitches. As a result, in 12-tone equal temperament (the most common temperament in Western music), the chromatic scale covers all 12 of the available pitches. C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C

Rhythm
You can apply this against any note value you like. The first fingering feels great against Eighth Notes or Sixteenth Notes
