FrockGate exposes Keir Starmer to be just another Boris Johnson

Right, so I don’t know about you but as a left leaning political commentator who has been holding Keir Starmer to account for some time, it really hasn’t surprised me that he’s imploding quite as quickly as he seems to be, but to the point he’s allowing another man, a party donor, to buy his wife clothes is just embarrassing as well as having dropped Labour in yet another scandal over expenses. Starmer is supposedly a man of means, a multimillionaire, so why is he not buying his wife clothes with his own money? Why is he letting a party donor, already involved in a scandal for dressing Starmer himself, the Passes for Glasses scandal, dress his wife too? Is there literally nothing Keir Starmer won’t accept hospitality or donations in relation to? Is he that easily bought and paid for is the message sent, yet to hear some of the excuses being made to cover for him beggars belief.
Right, so that was David Lammy there making the excuses for Keir Starmer’s wife Victoria having some £19,000 of designer frocks lavished upon her by Lord Waheed Alli, the same guy embroiled in the Passes for Glasses scandal for shelling out donations to dress Keir Starmer himself with, with the prospect of that Downing Street Pass Alli had, but inexplicably so being arguably linked to that, any donor having such privileged access to the Prime Minister as that should absolutely and quite justifiably raise questions. But the excuse Lammy made was truly pathetic, in that there shouldn’t be anything wrong with a party donor buying clothes as long as it was declared on expenses, which this wasn’t. That why shouldn’t they accept such a donation when there is no clothes budget for the PM and his wife. There is a clothes budget Dave, it’s the same as all of us have a clothes budget Dave, its called our own personal income, it’s called Starmer’s own salary, tell him to buy his wife clothes with his own bloody money, he does have enough of it Dave you wet lettuce of a man!
You can argue about the honesty of the mistake, that’s now for a parliamentary investigation, though the damage is already done to my mind, but given this involves Waheed Alli again, the optics are obviously deplorable, but come off it Dave, Starmer is loaded, why is he not buying his wife clothes himself! He’s on £160K a year, he was loaded before that from his career in law, this just simply isn’t an excuse that washes and given the cuts his government are implementing, how much tougher so many of us are going to find it going forwards, especially if we’re pensioners or have young children and are on low wages, here we have a very well paid, already wealthy man accepting money from a party donor and you always have to beg the question of what they are paying for, I don’t care how long Alli has been a Labour peer for David Lammy, the question always has to be asked. What are they paying for in exchange for handing over so much money, because between Starmer and his wife Waheed Alli has lavished nigh on £40,000 on them and that’s not including money to dress Angela Rayner or Sue Gray’s son, Liam Conlon, now the MP for Beckenham and Penge. Does £40,000 buy you a Downing Street pass or is there more to it than that?
Well Starmer might have thought the Passes for Glasses issue was over, but now he faces another parliamentary investigation because now this additional donation from the same donor comes out in relation to dressing his wife, so all the older claims get raked up again.
The bit that has entertained me so much over this story it has to be said is that it’s the Murdoch Times who have broken this story, and that despite all the desperate courting of the Scum and the Times, the Murdoch papers more than any other as I’ve covered in numerous other videos and certainly other commentators have as well, Starmer is still regularly thrown under a bus by them. He can write a column one day and on the next page, they’ll have an article attacking him over the same policy. They backed him over the Tories during the election, but it was last minute and you felt it was done grudgingly knowing the Tories were toast. Starmer might sycophantically kiss Murdoch backside, but not to any avail.
The biggest problem Starmer has here is that if this were a Tory Prime Minister, he would have no problem laying into him and we know this because he’s done it before. Boris Johnson and the wallpaper scandal, the 10 Downing Street flat decorated to Carrie Symonds taste allegedly all paid for by a Tory donor. That was fair game for Team Keith.
Then there was the foreign holidays all paid for by donors as well, Starmer went on the attack there too. A bought and paid for Prime Minister, because Boris Johnson would never say no, was used to living a lifestyle he’d become accustomed to but couldn’t actually afford himself.
And actually that deserves to bring us back a moment to David Lammy’s defence of Starmer in that video clip from before, because there’s always a tweet as the saying goes these days, like this one David Lammy. Do point out the difference between Johnson then and Starmer now Dave! All you’ve got are excuses sunshine.
Starmer is a man who never turns down hospitality, donations and gifts, from football tickets, to dinners in Davos, to Coldplay concert tickets, to clothes and glasses, he’s actually taken more freebies than all Labour leaders since 1997 combined and this was covered in a story from last year by Open Democracy, Starmer since of course only having got worse and racked up even more in the way of donations and gifts over the last year including over this latest frockgate scandal. By comparison, Jeremy Corbyn during his entire tenure as Labour leader accepted just one freebie, back in 2017, where he accepted tickets to Glastonbury, where he of course famously addressed the crowd from the Pyramid Stage – he turned his one freebie, into a work trip basically!
So all of this scandal Starmer has been embroiled in up until now and including this latest example of his greed and ignorance of parliamentary rules to be charitable to him about this, when you combine that with the all the lies as well, he really is just Boris Johnson all over again and now with his wife the centre of attention in this latest cash for well what? Scandal, Keith and Victoria now really are no different to Bozo the Clown and Carrie Antoinette.
But then there’s also the hypocrisy isn’t there and we only need go back as far as June, just two months before the passes for glasses scandal and just 3 months ago from now to find Starmer’s view of handouts, though of course in this instance, he was talking about benefits in a piece for the Torygraph, because of course it was, entitled ‘Handouts lack the dignity of wages, says Starmer.’ Unless it’s you taking the handouts though eh Keith?
‘State handouts offer people less “dignity” than earning a living through work, Sir Keir Starmer has said.
The Labour leader said that “working people” wanted “success more than state support” as he declared that if he were to be elected prime minister, he would put wealth creation “front and centre”.
Sir Keir also warned that “redistribution” alone was not enough to “level-up” Britain, saying that “redistribution seems to have also become our ‘one-word’ plan for vast swathes of Britain”.’
So is it dignified to let another man buy your wife clothes then Keith? You’re a working man, so why are you so keen to let others support you rather than pay your own way? As for redistribution, well, going by this it’s no wonder you’re against that, if you no longer have rich donors, who’s going to pay for your next suit and your wife’s frock for the next elitist bash you choose to attend? Free tickets for that as well presumably?
Keir Starmer promised change if he was elected. He and his wife are the new Boris and Carrie, or perhaps the new Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos. No change, just more of the same sort of people on the take and on the make for themselves running the country. Or should I say ruining it.
Certainly Starmer has already built up quite the record of ruination so far, from freezing pensioners, to starving kids and now after taking so much in the way of donations from private healthcare interests and with his Health Secretary literally having brought in a corporate lobbyist, in part for private health care too and a former health secretary driving privatisation under Blair himself, the NHS is now being told it has to reform or Starmer will let it die. As if with all that lobbying he’s getting that isn’t likely his plan all along as this video recommendation will tell you all about as your suggested next watch and I’ll hopefully catch you on the next vid. Cheers folks.
