Sabbath celebration 9-14-24: Hope, God will Protect His People; Sadness for Those Refusing Salvation

Today's readings were Isaiah 41 and Jonah 4. Isaiah 41 provides confirmation that God will protect his people. Although the reading addresses Israel it is felt that this confirmation is also for the USA. Jonah 4 is the message to be sad in your heart over those who refuse to repent and endure the wrath of God. It is the third time our readings warn us not to gloat over the evil peoples demise.
