They're Eating the Pets

This one was simply too delicious to pass up. We went over it before and the more I think about it, the more I flashback to growing up in Philly and hearing that Puerto Ricans kept live stock, including chickens and goats on their properties. I didn't believe it of course. We were "sophisticated" middle class folk living on the periphery of the County. Those, "hicks" (I don't think we called them FOBs (fresh off the boat) back then) didn't know enough to go to the super market to buy their food. Now, even in West Philly, there's a bodega on every corner, where there was previously a Korean take-out, previous to a Black-owned corner store & previously a Jewish Deli.

These days your humble vagabond is sophisticated in more ways than just the dogma of the White Christian Middle Class American power structure. I've traveled from Philadelphia to New York on Chinese operated buses on which passengers were transporting live stock; mostly chickens. Culture and tradition dies hard, as many Americans are learning in this era as they crow about "saving western culture." Of course they mean only the elements of that culture that benefit them and keep them comfortable in their out-of-the-way homogeneous communities. At least that's the way it sounds to yours truly.

I still don't know whether the reports of kidnapping pets for dinner is true or not. Most American pets are vaccinated and some are even chipped, although the hunters might not know this. They're better off grabbing geese, and if they are, they're eating better than you are.

While Americans were freaking out about their beloved pets, they may have missed the strategic flex that Putin sent to the western powers. Do they still think of themselves as the G (Great) 7? Geopolitics turns on a dime so this segment may already be obsolete. However, if it holds up it was a psychological victory for Russia, and Ukraine is as cooked as a wild goose in Springfield. But the corporate media won't tell you about it. Ukraine is on the verge of a might victory.
