I got to put-in at 0900 hrs and everyone was already there, I was surprised to see Van and Omer and greeted them merrily. We had 11 paddlers, was more than I thought, 2 called out and let me know that they will not make it, thank you for the heads up. I quickly unload the gear and boat. We all shuttled to takeout, lost no one along the way. Crystal was kind enough to shuttle all the drivers to Put-in. I did give a safety briefing and let the gang now I was treating them to ice cream at Victoria’s Ice Cream Pallor.

We did run into 2 downfall, nothing we could not get through, and all the clearing we did this summer had paid off, I did not see any new cutting, so I guess we was the last ones to clear the river.

There was some concern about rain, but that went quickly away as the sun broke out and a light breeze on the water. It was really a beautiful day on the water with this group, we all worked together, laughed together and enjoy all about us. Not really to much to say about the trip, it was just refreshing and peaceful.

I treated everyone to ice cream and the young man that let us order before him, I bought his ice cream, it is not home made, but it is a small local business run by very kind ladies, and I like supporting small local business.
