Tayler Hansen, a field reporter (@TaylorUSA on X), claims to have received hundreds of emails from Springfield, Ohio, residents detailing the chaos and violence caused by Haitian migrants. Hansen says he’s received nearly 400 emails describing how long-time residents are being forced to leave due to the violence, limited resources, and reckless driving that is leading to accidents.

Despite corporate media portraying Springfield as calm—similar to how they downplayed issues in Aurora, Colo., which faced a migrant gang invasion from Venezuela—the reality is different. Springfield’s migrant population, now over 20,000, is primarily from Haiti.

One email Hansen shared from a local resident reads, "My name is ***** and I've lived in Springfield my entire life. Earlier this year, we decided to move because of the rising violence. They’ve affected my home life and now my work." The letter also describes violent encounters at the workplace, from racial slurs to threats involving hammers.

Other reports from locals speak of Haitian men fighting women in the streets and obstructing traffic. Busloads of migrants are reportedly creating havoc across Springfield's neighborhoods. Data from the FBI’s crime database backs these concerns, showing a 242% increase in violent crime in Springfield between 2019 and 2022.

Some are encouraging residents to document migrant-related crimes to make it harder for the media to ignore. Social media reactions have expressed sympathy for residents, with some people calling out the media for downplaying the issue, especially as Kamala Harris campaigns. Others questioned why Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has yet to comment on the matter.

Critics on social media are also pointing fingers at Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, claiming his support for open-border policies has contributed to the crisis.
