Bill Gates: Vaccines are kind of miraculous.

"Vaccines are kind of miraculous. It's not intuitive that you stick a metal needle in a child's arm and that child will never get measles. And measles killed millions of children. We used a vaccines to take smallpox, well before our foundation, this was by 1980, smallpox became the only disease that's ever been completely eradicated. And so between drugs, vaccines, bed nets, understanding nutrition, we've been able to take health and make just incredible advances. Hundreds of years ago a third of all kids in all families, even the royal family, would die before the age of 5. Now on a global basis we've got that down to 5% and a path to get it to 2 1/2%"
