I did this at Sunrise (August 1, 2024), exploring the GORGEOUS Beach Day Use Picnic Area Shoreline on the Southern tip of Elk Lake, Deschutes National Forest, Central Oregon. This is part of the greater Cascade Lakes area, accessible via the Cascade Scenic Byway.
