Leaders Threw Off God's Yoke - Sept 13, 2024

Jer 5:3-5 - God's people refused to repent. Even their leaders didnt know His ways or Laws and threw of God's Yoke.

PS 2 - the leaders breaking the bond and chains asunder here parallel w Jer 5 rebellious leaders that dont fear the LORD. They are partnered w Jezebel stronghold. Punishment will be they get the same punishment as Rev 2:26-28 and Jer 19 - they shall be broken to shivers and ruled w a rod of iron.

Deut 28:47-48 - if you reject Gods yoke, you will get a yoke of Iron and devouring on all sides by your enemies that speak a different language.

Matt 11:28-30 - take God's yoke upon you to find rest for your souls.

Isaiah 14:25 - there comes a time when the chastisement is over and the yoke of the Assyrians departs.
