REPORT: A Top Democrat is now warning the American public would be “shocked” and “appalled” by the Secret Service’s security lapses surrounding the July 13 attempt on Trump’s life.

Senator Richard Blumenthal teased that a new report exposing a litany of errors would be “coming out shortly.” He didn’t go into the specifics of what was in that report, but we can assume that it confirms many of the “conspiracy theories” that we already know.

Blumenthal also took the opportunity to blast the Department of Homeland Security for its lack of transparency, as they continue to withhold critical information from the public.

Before you act surprised by the report’s findings, here’s a short list of what we know so far:

• Agents assigned to Trump’s detail reportedly requested increased security multiple times, but these requests were denied by Cheatle and her agency.

• The armed attacker, Thomas Crooks, infiltrated the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, climbed rooftops, and fired multiple shots. Witnesses, like Greg Smith, saw him staking out the area beforehand.

• Snipers reportedly watched Crooks for half an hour before he fired his weapon but took no action.

• Whistleblower information shared by Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) revealed that Homeland Security agents protecting Trump received only a “two-hour online webinar” for preparation, which was plagued with technical glitches.

• The lead advance agent placed in charge of Trump's security at the Butler, Pennsylvania rally happened to FAIL her Secret Service training exams not just once but possibly multiple times.
