CLASS #432: Progressivism and the Social Settlement (The Frontier and Early Church)

We continue our series on the Founders of the American Progressive movement of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Today's class will be covering an excerpt from Jane Addams' book, "Twenty Years at Hull House." In it, Addams connects the Progressive movement to the Early Church and the Frontier (which was no doubt influenced by the Colonialism of the time). We hope you'll join us as we take another dive into the mindset of the founders of the Progressive movement by reading their own words.

We are working from Ronald J. Pestritto's book, "American Progressivism:"
