Chasing Trouble is a 1940 American comedy-drama film directed by Howard Bretherton, from Monogram Pictures.

SYNOPSIS
Jimmy "Mr. Cupid" O’Brien, a delivery boy with dreams of becoming a detective, works at a local flower shop alongside his friend Thomas H. Jefferson. The pair, eager to help, secure a job for their unemployed friend Susie Carey. Unbeknownst to them, their seemingly innocent workplace is a front for a sinister spy and saboteur ring led by their boss, Mr. Morgan. The ring uses the florist shop to deliver coded messages and even bombs, hiding their true activities under the guise of flower deliveries.

Jimmy, determined to crack a case, uses a graphology lesson from his correspondence course to uncover the truth about Mr. Morgan’s nefarious dealings. However, his discovery comes too late, and the group finds themselves in a race against time. With an investigative reporter and the police hot on the trail, they must prevent a bomb from being delivered to an airplane factory before it’s too late. The film blends lighthearted detective work with high-stakes espionage, as Jimmy's amateur sleuthing skills are put to the ultimate test.
