SYNOPSIS
In the steamy, secluded depths of the Malayan jungle, a wealthy Chinese banker marries a glamorous British singer, hoping to build a life of luxury and comfort. He takes her to his sprawling estate, surrounded by untamed wilderness, where she struggles to adapt to the isolation and cultural divide. Her husband's constant business trips leave her feeling increasingly lonely and disconnected from the world she once knew. In her vulnerability, she finds herself drawn to a nearby plantation owner, and the two embark on a passionate affair. When the banker returns and uncovers the infidelity, he is consumed by a desire for revenge. Methodically, he sets a plan into motion, leading to a chain of events that culminate in tragedy, exposing the destructive power of jealousy and the fragile nature of trust.
