Parent Participation Classes: What to Expect

Welcome to Performance Athletics Parent Participation classes! Here’s the scoop:

This is an active class for you to bond with your child so make sure you are BOTH ready for action! For athletes, please no buttons, snaps, zippers or jewelry, and expect to be barefoot for class. Clothing should be movement-friendly, should fit well to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, and tops should be able to keep the belly covered during activity.
For grown-ups, clothing & shoes should be activity-friendly so you can keep up with your child. Be sure to empty your pockets, and bring a water bottle! Please keep all food & drink in the lobby.

Everyone has a job in our Parent Participation classes! Coaches monitor the group & show parents ways to assist their child for maximum learning. Kids have a blast exploring the gym & following instructions from Coaches & Parents. Parents help their children follow instructions for safety and success, and celebrate every victory with gusto!

Parent-child interaction is a key part of these classes.
We ask that parents actively assist their child throughout the class. If YOU’d like to get in a workout, please ask about the Adult programs. If you’d like to network with other parents, our lobby is the perfect place to do so before or after class. And if you’d like to capture occasional moments, bring out that cellphone for a quick snap before disconnecting to make the most of every moment in the gym with your child.

In case of illness, we are happy to reschedule you once everyone in your home is in good health. Please only attend if everyone in your home has been healthy for 48 hours. Our families and staff thank you for helping to keep everyone feeling fabulous.
