A militant-turned Pakistani Kashmiri refugee singer has vowed to highlight the plights of the Kashmiris who are being oppressed by Indian troops in held-Kashmir through his songs. A Kashmiri refugee, who migrated into Pakistani part of Kashmir in 1990s, when the insurgency erupted in held-Kashmir, leaving behind his parents and other family members, got prominence after Pakistan-based renowned Coke Studio shoot and filmed him and his co workers in their traditional Kashmiris constumes and Kashmiri traditional music for a Kashmiri song spotlighting the suffering of Kashmiris in held-Kashmir.
