There was a time you could believe some of what you read
Some of what you saw on TV
That ship has sailed brother

Lies lies sweet little lies
They sending the troops but it's a disguise
They moving the clouds around in the skies it's lies

Lies lies so many believe
The fibs the libs repeat on tv
Stick to the script and say it's for peace
Cook up a meal to feed to the beast
Promise the most and deliver the least
Unless it's for war with so called enemies
More for the school that can't add or read
Laws about guns so they learn to bleed
God forbid that you clean up the streets
Teach em a skill so they learn to eat
Redact the document jack up the lease
Finance the drugs defund the police
Tie em all down and never release
Make up a fairy tale no one believes
Ran on every channel so everyone sees
Record it once replay it for weeks
Remove the barricade invite the sheep
They came to sing along with the deceit
Defending the ones that put chains on their feet
