Locals grab Liquor Bottles during Police Disposal of seized Alcohol

A chaotic situation unfolded at the Nalla Cheruvu dumping yard on Etukuru Road in Guntur, Andhra pradesh, India, as bystanders jumped in to grab liquor bottles when police attempted to destroy them. The police, under the directions of Guntur SP S. Satish Kumar brought illegal liquor bottles worth Rs 50 lakh seized during the Assembly elections to the Nalla Cheruvu dumping yard for their destruction on Monday. As the police prepared to destroy the liquor bottles, large crowds gathered to witness the event. Moments after the destruction began, the police left the spot. Taking advantage of the absence of police, the youth and alcoholics grabbed the liquor bottles and ran away.
