Driver hits woman at busy Uptown intersection

A driver hit a woman near a busy Uptown intersection Monday, leaving her with possibly life-threatening injuries. The collision happened at about 10 a.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Eden Avenue. That's a major entrance to the University of Cincinnati's medical campus, which houses the College of Medicine, UC's Medical Center and other medical office buildings. Lt. Brian  Norris, commander of the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit, said the driver was turning from Eden onto eastbound Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The driver didn't see the 68-year-old woman in the crosswalk, Norris said.
