Alan Dershowitz, a former lifelong Democrat, has left the party, citing its radical shift and anti-Semitic speakers at the Democratic National Convention.

“I just felt appalled when I watched the Democratic National Convention… I've been a Democrat since 1953 when I start working as a kid for Democratic candidates, I voted for every Democratic candidate for president since John Kennedy… I can't associate myself with the party itself.”

Dershowitz argues that this shift influences the candidate selection process, revealing an undercurrent of antisemitism. He also criticizes the party's departure from traditional free speech values, which he views as foundational to the nation.
