President Putin's Presentation at the 9th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok (9-5-2024)

Although President Putin's presentation and the following moderated discussion between Russia, China & Malaysia is just a little over 3 hours, it is very important for understanding what is happening in that part of the world and how their cooperation affects the rest of us. The above video is livestreamed in English and the English transcription is provided below. I've included the following map which shows where this meeting took place in Vladivostok. For your reference, 100 Russian rubles (RUB) is equivalent to about $1.10 US dollars, since values are often expressed with rubles in the following discussions.

Many things stand out to me about Putin's presentation and the subsequent discussion. It is obvious that he has an in-depth understanding of Russian history, where Russia stands economically & politically in the world, and the many challenges going forward to provide opportunities for all Russian citizens to enjoy more prosperous & fulfilling lives. Although many in the West like to demonize Putin & portray him as a dictator, this presentation makes it abundantly clear that he genuinely cares about Russia and wants all Russians to have opportunities to enrich their lives in many ways. This very positive observation about Putin is supported by many others who have taken the time to understand Russia, instead of just listening to Western propaganda.

Notice the enormous focus on new infrastructures to support both businesses and people. Instead of just building needed factories and then thinking about the needs of the people, today they are doing both in parallel & developing integrated master plans. Schools, clinics, hospitals, parks, museums, transportation, urban environment and many other facilities are important for meaningful lives outside of work and they are now being planned in parallel.

After Putin's talk, notice the tone of the dialog between the moderator Alexandra Suvorova, Putin, Han Zheng from China & Anwar Ibrahim from Malaysia. They are all working together to understand the issues and solutions going forward. This dialog is very informative and I would encourage all of you to pay close attention.
