Rick Joyner Morningstar Ministries Chris Reed News Scandal Update. Two victims of alleged child SA by a Morningstar Ministries volunteer youth leader filed separate civil lawsuits this week on top of the one lawsuit already filed last month. Erickson Lee, the youth leader named in the civil lawsuits was sentenced by a judge to nine years in prison pleading guilty on 5 counts related to the SA of minors. The civil suits state that leaders of Morningstar mishandled decades of SA even before Lee’s recent alleged abuse of minors. So their are four alleged people in the criminal suit—accuse Morningstar founder and CEO, Rick Joyner and other leaders of “grossly negligent and reckless conduct.” On top of all this Morningstar ministries is under pressure for promoting Chris Reed to lead the ministry while he seemed to be in a scandal with a 30 year old woman who was a student at their ministry school. It seems to be unclear what Chris Reed did with young woman. But Chris Reed resigned last week. And Rick Joyner claims it is possible he was lied to about what happened. One lawsuit was filed August 7 by John Doe #1. Another was filed Wednesday by John Doe #2, and a third was filed Thursday by John Doe #3 in the York County Sixteenth Judicial District in South Carolina. They are suing multiple people which include Morningstar, Rick Joyner, Rick Jonyer's Head of Security Doug Lee who is Erikson Lee's father. They are suing multiple other people as well. All three suits list a couple of historical abuse cases toward people associated with Morningstar ministry. These suit alleges that Morningstar and its church did not protect the people, noting they could have done more. Rick Joyner and Morningstar future is in doubt with a cloud of lawsuits against the ministry. These are all allegation at this point so we must not jump to conclusions and let the legal process play out.
