Numbers Chapters 28-31:24 (Part 9)

ome along as Amy continues to teach us in Numbers about the numerous sacrifices and feasts of the Israelites. We can see that the feasts became an empty ritual for God's people and God express his hate of false bravado towards Him. The daily morning & evening sacrifices, the weekly Sabbath sacrifice, the monthly new moon sacrifice, Passover, the Feast of the Unleavened Bread, Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles... every year at least 1,086 lambs were sacrificed; 113 bulls, 32 rams, more than a ton of flour, 1,000 bottles of wine and oil on average. And it still wasn't enough to permanently erase sin, only by Christ's perfect sacrifice did He cleanse us of our sin. Reflect with us on what sins are in your life that need to be consumed by God's consuming fire. Are you asking God to show you where you are on shaky ground?
