Israeli medics say three people shot and killed in attack at the West Bank-Jordan border crossing

Three people have been shot and killed at the Allenby Bridge crossing between Jordan and the occupied West Bank, the Israeli first responders said Sunday.

Israeli police said the shooter was killed, without providing further details.

Allenby Bridge, also known as Karama Bridge, or King Hussein Bridge, is the only crossing point for Palestinians travelling through the West Bank to Jordan and the rest of the world.

Shooting incidents at Allenby Bridge, which is operated jointly by Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian Authority, are rare.
