Pope Francis arrives in East Timor for the third leg of his tour

The pontiff landed in the East Timor capital Dili on Monday (September 9) afternoon, part of his 12-day, four-country tour of Southeast Asia and Oceania. He was met at the airport by President Jose Manuel Ramos-Horta and two young women dressed in traditional outfits, who offered him flowers and a tais, a woven ceremonial scarf, which the pontiff briefly put on.
