Former WWE champion and Hollywood actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has spoken out against the increasing violence and divisive rhetoric from Democrats toward former President Donald Trump. During an appearance at The Vault Conference 2024 in West Palm Beach, Florida, hosted by entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, Johnson reflected on his past interactions with Trump, offering a perspective that differs from the typical media portrayal.

In a leaked clip from the event, Johnson recalled fond memories of Trump attending his wrestling events, stating, “He used to come watch me wrestle all the time. It was great.” He even shared a humorous moment where Trump asked him to perform his iconic “eyebrow” gesture.

However, Johnson's most notable comments came when he strongly condemned any attempts to physically harm Trump. “Whether you love Donald or you don’t, trying to assassinate him? There’s no room for that,” he said, stressing that such actions don’t align with the values of the country.

This came as a surprise to many, given Johnson's previous endorsement of Joe Biden during the 2020 election, when he criticized Trump’s handling of the George Floyd protests. At that time, Johnson voiced support for the Black Lives Matter movement and challenged Trump's leadership.

In a 2020 Instagram post, Johnson questioned, “Where is our compassionate leader?” Yet, in a recent Fox News interview, Johnson expressed disappointment with the state of the nation, stating, “Am I happy with America right now? No. Do I believe we can get better? Absolutely.”

Reflecting on his past political endorsement, Johnson admitted, “The endorsement I made years ago with Biden was the best decision at that time.” However, he made it clear that he won’t endorse any candidate in the upcoming election. “This time, I’m keeping my politics to myself. My goal is to help unite the country,” he added.

He also voiced frustration with the current climate of cancel culture and division, emphasizing the importance of staying true to oneself despite societal pressures.
