In the adult service, Ravi shares a topical sermon entitled "Running God to or from God?"

We read of examples of human responses to challenges ranging from the Garden of Eden in Genesis to the Great Tribulation in Revelation. While it is inherent in the sinful nature to flee from perceived trouble, biblical history consistently illustrates a God who seeks and calls humanity.

Perhaps one of the most inviting and comforting words of Jesus is recorded in Matthew 11:28-30, where He said, "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. True rest is found in Jesus.

Let us take time to study the actions and reactions of people in the Bible who ran to and from God. While God invites us to seek Him, what might be the possible reasons for us to do otherwise? What are practical lessons we can learn and apply to our daily lifestyle to avoid "running from" God and to achieve "running to" God?
