JC GORMAN & HE RUPP - THE GORMAN-RUPP CO 2024 NCOIM HALL of FAME

The Gorman-Rupp Company was founded in 1933 by JC Gorman and HE Rupp; both unemployed during the Great Depression, from Barnes Pump Co, in Mansfield, OH. JC was working with his Father-in-law at Barnes; and HE had come to Mansfield in 1919, when the Aultman-Taylor Company had lured him away from International Harvester. The Company began making Diaphragm Pumps designed by HE and sold by JC. The Company exists today under JCs Grandson, Jeff, Chairman & Scott King, CEO; with the 4th Generation of Family, working there. And, the Gorman-Rupp Co is the Only MFG of nine to be Awarded the Prestigious Army/Navy E Award during WWII; that is still in business today in Mansfield, OH.
