Ahead of their General Assembly and Summit of the Future, the UN is preparing a series of documents to be publicly presented in New York in three weeks. As usual, the public is oblivious to the drafting and negotiations of these agreements, but also to their method of adoption. On Tuesday September 3, at 1pm EST, the "Pact for the Future" is set to be adopted under the "silence procedure" –– ie, if no one objects, they will be considered to be accepted by the member states.
