Ezekiel describes a temple in a vision that has not been created in history and is likely a picture of a future temple where God will dwell with His people. The temple represents intimacy with God and being set apart. The dimensions of the temple complex are huge, emphasizing its significance. In the final dispensation, there will be no need for a temple or sun because God Himself will be the temple and provide light. The city of Jerusalem in Revelation also reflects this concept. God calls His people to holiness and cleansing from iniquity. The temple represents the place of God's throne and eternal dwelling with His people.
