In the city of Marseille, France, two Algerians unveil their opinions on Jews. Towards the end of the conversation, they realize how hateful they actually sounded.

Jelil & Iliaas still have deeply rooted antisemitic ideas and it's clearly revealed in their communication. Unfortunately, the ability for antisemitic tropes to convince certain individuals, in a variety of populations, comes partially from the complete lack of interaction with any Jews.

This doesn't mean Jews are responsible for antisemitic ideas, but it does mean that once Jews understand that antisemitism isn't just something to talk about or fear, but to actually deal with, it becomes a responsibility to earn the reality Jews collectively seek to experience. If Jews want to be respected in this world, they must at the very minimum know how to interact with any person that comes their way, especially people who are antisemitic.

Real interactions leave stronger marks on memory than bias that is taught. This video was made as an example for Jews to have the courage to engage individuals who may be insulting, but mostly who hold prejudice against them. It is also an example of how to respond in order to defuse situations and to get that same person to understand a larger more holistic perspective.
