This is old footage from 2013 at Last Thursday in Northeast Portland, Oregon, featuring buskers playing a waltz.

For anyone who has never been to Portland, Last Thursday (as the name implies) occurs every last Thursday of the month on Alberta Street in Northeast Portland, Oregon.

Established in 1995, it is now approaching its 30th year. Approximately fifteen blocks close down along Alberta Street so artists of all kinds can gather there, set up tables, perform, and sell their art.

It's not unlike events that occur in the art districts of many other cities across the U.S.

Many people see it as a way of bringing in business, supporting local artists, and enhancing the neighborhood's value and overall identity.

Others (especially many people living in the area) see it as part of a gradual gentrification process, which has displaced residents who are less well-off.
