Olive Pit costs 175 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 4, 7, 10.)
When a zombie walks over Olive Pit, the zombie is swallowed whole.
Olive Pit can hold two (2) zombies before it needs to chew. (+1 zombie on levels 2, 4, 7 and 10.)
Olive Pit needs to chew for 20 seconds before it can swallow zombies again. (-2 seconds on levels 3, 5, 6, 8 and 9.)

Commentary:
In the course of this game, one levels up their plants. In order to keep the game balanced and challenging, the zombies need to be leveled up too. This can lead to some problems when one is forced to use a low level plant against a high level zombie. (Wild West anyone?)

There are other plants which do not care of the zombie's level - Toadstool and Chomper for instance. But both of these are premium plants whereas Olive Pit is a seedium plant.

Bottom Line:
Olive Pit is an undervalued plant that can fill in gaps in one's strategies by eliminating problematic zombies that would otherwise ruin a strategy. For instance, Jester zombies can ruin any flaming pea strategy. But Olive Pit can easily handle Jester zombies.

As such, obtaining Olive Pit should be done and leveling it up would be desirable.
