Introducing "Christian Talk Story w/ Sister Dar on Braddah Tony's "Da Local Show" 30 Jul '24 KAKU

"Christian Talk Story" is a show where we share God's intervention in our lives + the love of our souls, the Lord Jesus! The founding Scripture : "We will tell to the generations to come the praises of our God, His strength, and the wondrous works He has done." Ps 78.4

"Seek 1st the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Mat 6:33

Dar's testimony:
I came to Christ during a personal crises at home when, due to the influence of drugs, violence & police visits became regular occurrences. A family member got a concussion one night, & I returned home from the hospital with Dad, knelt next to my bedside + prayed, "God, if You are real, please give us a new home." God answered. In 3 months, we were out, meaning Mom & I didn't have to spend our afternoons in the car waiting for tempers to subside. We're thankful for our very lives.

During that time, God sent 3 Christian high school schoolmates - one who, as we were walking to class, shared her faith in the Lord. Another sang beautifully for the Lord God in the school talent show. Another one introduced me to the Lord Jesus Christ - and my eyes were opened to the welcoming arms & the love of the Lord Jesus - right there in that office. I returned home, my passions aligned to the One Who loved and gave Himself for me. I was age 16.

I gave up my normal pursuits such as academics & focused on my character. A yr later, I attended a Christian school in the Pacific Northwest. During Spring break, I attended a Christian youth conference in Oregon. The speaker highlighted the need for those in the 10-40 (geographical) window to hear the Good News of the Gospel. He challenged the youth in that auditorium to dedicate the next 10 yrs of their single years to God - which I did. We formed small groups & were assigned a tribe to pray for: Wolof, a tribe in Senegal, West Africa.

Over the next years, I relegated that to the archives of my history. Went about my business. Did not read, hear, come across that name for years until - one day I visited this Bible Church in the Midwest. They were having a missions conference; various groups set up their poster boards up in the foyer. I looked up at one of them & read in big bold letters: W-O-L-O-F. My eyes widened, my mouth dropped. At that moment, God met me. He reminded me, "I remember the vow you made to Me 10 yrs ago, child." As a young believer, I had been testing to see if God was real. I came to the realization: God knows my thoughts. God is a keeper of covenant. He knows everything about me.

It was reassuring & rattling at the same time. Yes I know God loves me. AND God wants me to serve Him? Do you realize the huge responsibility - because those Who know and speak for Him are held to higher standards, like you know, holiness. I reminded, God, You know the mess I'm in. You were the One that put me in this "dysfunctional" home. :) Yet I'm reminded of the verse, "Those who have been forgiven much loves much" (Luk 7:47) People don't know what God rescued me from & therefor they don't understand that it is to God Whom I owe my very life.

Realizing my quandary, I gave God stipulations under which I'll serve Him, a faithful God Who deserves my all: 1) The Bible says, "The older women should mentor the younger ones" (Titus 2:4), 2) It has to be outside the church walls + 3) it has to utilize my talents.

Do you know - God created the conditions under which I served Him twice. The first was under Olga who walked around a college building from the ground up. She prayed that everything about "Building J" would be excellent because God deserves excellence! It was in that building that a college Bible group met. That went for a season.

The next group God formed was a tv outreach to the Latino community. The conditions were met; Yoellah managed it. I served God with my technical abilities for a few yrs.

The third time, I prayed "God, I will serve You under a man who loves you." God sent my husband. I was already praying for his characteristics: integrity, lover of God.
God had once told me (thru a prophet - who confirmed things about my family life he had no way of knowing,), "I'll send you a young man who'll have a way of understanding you, who'll look into your very heart."

The rest is history. Marty, in his testimony, shares how we met, was given a prophetic word, about meeting me + winning a Christian radio wedding contest. Glory to God!
