COMMISIONED AXE REVEAL

After seeing some of the other axes I had made, a good friend who is Doctor wanted me to make him one. His only instructions were: make it Viking inspired. The Caduceus is traditionally the medical symbol. I carved it into the handle because he is a Doctor. I made the wings oversized intentionally, because he was a pilot in the Air Force. The etching on the head was done with a salt water vinegar mix and a 4 amp battery charger. It has a leather wrap below the head, and metal inlay on the grip. the whole thing was finished with several coats of poly to protect it. Very soon I will have full videos with actual instructions. This is another of the projects I did before I though of recording it.

The music is courtesy and owned by CASEY JAMES.
