The true crime story of Vanessa Marcotte is disturbing and very dark. Vanessa was out for a jog in Princeton, Massachusetts when she was ambushed by a unidentified male. She was abandoned in the woods and set on fire. When detectives arrived at the scene of the crime, they collected DNA evidence from her body and pinned Angelo Colon-Ortiz as the perpetrator.
