Why do we promote run and gun training? Humans never rise to the occassion, they fall to their level of training. When confronted with SHTF most people freeze and go into condition black. Those that don't freeze, and have never shot guns with an elevated heart rate under stress, are typically challenged to the point where they can't hit the broad side of a barn. This is precisely why less than 20% of shots fired by Law Enforcement Officers hit their target in a shootout.

This type of training isn't just good exercise and shooting practice. It's stress innoculation that puts you in a much better position should a SHTF event happen requiring you to take action to protect yourself and your family.
