NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov will launch.

NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov are scheduled to launch on the SpaceX Crew-9 mission to the International Space Station no earlier than September 24. Hague will serve as commander, and Gorbunov as mission specialist, on this two-crew member flight. This decision aligns with NASA's choice to fly the Boeing Crew Flight Test without a crew and to launch Crew-9 with two unoccupied seats.
Originally, NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Stephanie Wilson were part of the crew but are now eligible for reassignment on a future mission. Despite the change, Cardman and Wilson will continue to support their crewmates and the mission.
