Why Do You Enjoy CMP Competitions? - Interviews with Competitors

We went around Camp Perry during the National Matches to ask CMP competitors what they loved about going to the competitions.
While everyone had their own reason for returning year after year, they shared those reasons with a number of other shooters.

At a home range, even for a CMP match, there isn't as many people as you'll encounter at the National Matches. The arena changes from a group of dozens to a group of hundreds. And without fail, those competitors are as welcoming and helpful at home as they are abroad.

It's also a great place to meet up with all the other shooters you've been missing since last year's National Matches.

When you're finally on the line, it also becomes a great place to practice your focus. The other problems going on outside the Nationals fade away. Each shot becomes the primary focus of the moment. When bullets are hitting where they're meant to, everything is right with the world. When shots aren't landing where they're meant, then you have a clear problem to solve and often straightforward steps to solve it.
