Philosophical Realism

Philosophical Realism is the belief that reality exists independently of our perceptions, thoughts, or beliefs. According to this view, objects, entities, and truths exist whether or not they are being observed or conceptualized by a human mind. In realism, there is an objective world that can be known through experience or reason, but it is not dependent on our mental activity for its existence. Philosophical realism contrasts with idealism, which suggests that reality is shaped or determined by the mind.
